How Do I See a Photo's Metadata in Windows?
Right-click, Properties, Details. That panel shows the date, the camera and the GPS, if the photo has them.
Right-click the photo, choose Properties, then open the Details tab. You will see Date Taken, the camera make and model, the dimensions, and sometimes GPS coordinates. That is the metadata.
If most of those rows are empty, the photo has been stripped. Uploading, downloading, messaging apps and Google Takeout all do this, in different ways and for different reasons.
