Why Do My Videos Play Out of Order?
Videos carry their date in a different place from photos, and exports lose it more often. The fallback is the file date.
Videos store their date in a different place from photos, and many tools that fix photo dates ignore videos entirely. When the date is missing, your player sorts by the file date, which is the day the file arrived.
A Google Takeout export has the same problem as with photos: the real date is in the .json file beside the video, not inside it.
Takeout JSON Metadata Fixer treats videos the same as photos. It writes the real date in, and can convert old formats to MP4 so they play everywhere. It runs on your own computer and is free for your first 500 photos.
